Job Description
Krueger Bearings is growing and is looking for a mechanically inclined Utility Operator.
Position is 2nd shift only. 3 pm - 1 am Monday - Thursday.
Our work is intricate with short-running jobs focusing on the manufacturing of Babbitt bearings as well as machined components with tight tolerances.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sets up, adjusts and operates saws to cut metal stock, Deburring parts for final inspection, Machine Operations where tolerances and finish requirements are not difficult to maintain.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Saw stock to correct length based on job.
- Deburr parts to remove all metal burrs prior to part being final inspected.
- Set up and operate machines such as manual lathes.
- Works from part drawings, specifications and job layouts.
- Uses calipers, micrometers, indicators, to set up and check work.
- Works under general supervision receiving; instructions and guidance on operating and tooling problems, difficulties, special applications and new work; work is subject to process and final inspection and check.
Mechanically inclined individual will do well in this role.
Must be able to read a tape measure and take proper measurements.
Understands or can learn machining fundamentals, shop arithmetic, print reading.
Individual with a desire to learn and move up in the company to become a high-end machinist is preferred.
