Full Time Position

Luther Manor is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at our long-term care facility in our Wauwatosa location. The preventative maintenance technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. The preventative and responsive maintenance duties ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff. This position has on-call requirements.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect the interior and exterior of the building and perform needed maintenance and repairs
• Complete work order requests for handyman tasks
• Perform routine checks of water temperature, fire extinguishers, and smoke detectors
• Prepare living units for the next occupant
• Assist with landscaping tasks as needed
• Troubleshoot major mechanical issues and coordinate service with vendors
• Transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Withstand temperature extremes from -10 F to 120 F for several hours at a time.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Flexible and available to work beyond regularly scheduled hours, as well as weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Excellent communication skills.
