| Job Summary | The CLC Promise Program supports students who thought college may be an impossible dream due to lack of finances. Eligible participants receive a scholarship that covers students difference between federal and state financial aid and tuition and fees. The program's goals are to: 1) provide support so students graduate from CLC as close to debt-free as possible; 2) ensure students earn a degree or certificate; 3) help students transfer to a four-year college or enter the workforce; and 4) provide enriching leadership and professional development experiences. One of the professional development experiences provided by the program is connecting Promise students to volunteer professional mentors. The program seeks mentors who demonstrate an authentic interest in encouraging students in their academic, career and leadership development as well as mentors who possess valuable career and professional experience. |
