Description
Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor provides leadership and direction to Material Handlers and other warehouse staff; establishes and maintains effective communications with team members and relevant personnel; maintains warehouse safety and cleanliness; assists with managing department metrics and cost center budget; and acts as supervisory direct report to assigned personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong professional relationship and goodwill with customers and vendors (i.e., provide excellent customer service; greet and acknowledge each customer or vendor encountered, etc.)
  • Manage a daily plan to exceed expectations for productivity and accuracy
  • Drive operational improvement in shipping and receiving process flows
  • Maintain security of parts room and related areas
  • Oversee the timely performance of all parts movements in and out of the system
  • Assist with the maintenance , management, and reporting of all relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Manage the timely reporting of any discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, broken or unidentified packages Assist in daily pending receipt management
  • Assist with surplus inventory disposition
  • Assist with in daily cycle counts and Annual Physical Inventory counts as needed
  • Assist in managing warranty and repair work with vendors (RMA)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives with all cross functional teams within the organization
  • Act as supervisory direct report to assigned personnel (i.e., performance management, corrective action, training, defining daily priorities, creating work schedules, etc.)
  • Manage time and attendance for assigned personnel including timecard approval or paid time off
  • Assist in the hiring of assigned personnel (i.e., collaborate with Human Resources recruiters, perform interviews, select qualified talent, etc.)
  • Ensure the maintenance of good housekeeping practices in assigned areas (i.e., keep work areas organized, ensure walkways are free of clutter, and properly disposes of waste according to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies)
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced inventory and parts counter role (minimum of 3 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity), required
  • Strong background in hydraulic fracturing, sand, and chemicals, preferred
  • Maintaining a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record, required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong leadership characteristics, can mentor, coach, track performance, and delegate duties to a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skill, can effectively interact with team members, managers, customers, vendors, and personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Must be a team player who can work well with others to improve work processes
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills; can gather relevant data to shape goals and objectives
  • Must be an independent worker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills; can prioritize workload to meet objectives
  • Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and can quickly learn other work-related software
