The Co-Manager Trainee position at Speedway is more than just a job, it's an opportunity. After completion of our in-depth, hands-on training program, Co-Manager Trainees are assigned to select stores to work alongside some of our most successful General Managers. Our strong "promote from within" philosophy makes the Co-Manager Trainee position one that has true potential for advancement to the ranks of General Manager, District Manager and beyond.

The Co-Manager Trainee is a developmental position focused on attracting recent college graduates as well as experienced retail professionals. This position will enable you to learn, grow and advance to the General Manager position within the designated market area. Many of the responsibilities of the General Manager will also be yours. Co-Manager Trainees are involved in: Developing and directing the store's employees; completing cash handling, safety, maintenance and merchandising responsibilities; operating the store during any absence of the General Manager and ensuring all customers receive fast and friendly service in a clean facility every time they visit the store. 

Overview:
Serves as a trainee for a specific duration to prepare for service as a Shift Leader; learns essential aspects of the Shift Leader job and demonstrates successful completion prior to being promoted; learns how to serve as leader and to oversee retail operations during a shift; and learns how to ensure store operates efficiently and in compliance with applicable Federal, State and local laws and Company policies; available to work a variety of shifts and/or days of the week; must have a valid Driver's License in state of residence; must maintain automotive liability insurance during the course of employment and use personal vehicle to conduct area pricing surveys.

Job Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills along with a happy smiling attitude are essential!
  • Must be available to work required shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform bending, standing and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • College education is preferred but not required.
  • Prior management experience is preferred by not required
