Job/Internship Description

Job Summary

This position is for selected Summer intern.

Perform exploratory research in the synthetic preparation of new ingredients for taste evaluations as potential commercialization modulator targets. Explore literature to identify routes to natural and synthetic molecular targets and carry out these routes under supervisor of manager. Must be able to work safety in a team setting where attention to detail and accurate recording of results is essential.

Responsible for carrying out diverse organic laboratory reactions, involving a wide range of reagents. Will purify reactions via a variety of methods including, chromatography, distillation or re-crystallization. Will be involved in utilizing newer technologies to improve output and minimize timelines of research projects.

1. Setup and execute reactions on gram to kilogram scale 70%

2. Analyze product and data and accurately document experiments 10%

3. Keep laboratory clean and help maintain a safe environment 10%

4. Participate in team meetings and other activities 10%
