Job Description
Lake Chevrolet is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Used Vehicle Sales Manager to lead our pre-owned sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in automotive sales management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position offers the opportunity to manage a high-volume used vehicle department backed by one of the most trusted dealership names in Wisconsin!

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate! Our Used Vehicle sales have increased and as we finish 2025, we are on pace for another record year! As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an experienced Used Vehicle Sales Manager to our dynamic team!

The Used Vehicle Sales Manager is a key team member and is primarily responsible for the activity on the sales floor and working side by side with the sales staff and consumers. The ideal candidate will have proven automotive management experience and be an effective team leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist our sales consultants and customers...often helping bridge any disconnects in the sales process
  • Oversee interactions and communications between sales consultants and consumers...including email, phone, chat, texting 
  • Coaching, mentoring, training and motivating sales consultants to increase sales volume and customer satisfaction
  • Support the Sales & Finance Departments by ensuring all sales consultants follow Lake policies and procedures
  • Ability to properly and accurately appraise vehicles eligible for trade, based on current market values and trends
  • Oversee the safety inspection and reconditioning process of all used vehicles, working closely with our Internal Service Advisor
  • Authorize sales consultants time off and work schedules
  • Recruit, train, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly reconditioned, displayed, and marketed online and on the lot
  • Work collaboratively with the New Car Sales Manager, Finance Department, and Service Department to support dealership-wide success
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and manufacturer regulations and dealership policies
Key Requirements
  • Strong computer and effective communication skills and ability to use available technology to increase sales and profits
  • Adhere to a 60 day turn inventory policy
  • Minimum 3–5 years of automotive sales management experience, preferably in a franchise dealership environment
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and gross profit goals
  • Strong knowledge of used vehicle operations, inventory management, and digital marketing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Proficient in utilization of dealership CRM systems and software
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction
