Soldering Assessment will be required after the Onsite Interview
• Assemble electronic components using manual processes, including stuffing, mechanical assembly, hand assembly, and soldering (both lead and lead-free), ensuring all soldering tasks meet IPC Class 3 workmanship standards.
• Minimum 2 year of experience in electronics assembly
• Class 3 – High-Reliability Electronics (Our most critical work)
o Highest workmanship standard
o Required for aerospace, defense, medical devices, avionics, life-support or safety-critical systems
o No tolerance for defects — work must be precise, clean, and reliable
o Solder joints must be properly wetted, uniform, and completely free of pits, cracks, voids, or contamination
o Very strict on component alignment, lead trim, solder amount, and cleanliness
o Typically requires prior experience with IPC-A-610 and Class 3 environments
Must Have hands-on Class 3 assembly experience
o Have worked with tight tolerances and strict quality systems
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail
o Are comfortable working under a microscope
o Understand why Class 3 is held to a higher standard
o Produce consistent, repeatable workmanship
o Can explain Class 2 vs. Class 3 differences
