Laser Operator - 2nd shift Temp-Hire

Job Description:
The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products. Performs typical laser cutting operations. Selects proper cutting programs and proper fixtures
• Report to work on time and excellent attendance
• Keep the work area clean and safe
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required
• Perform all dimensional inspections
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require
• Commitment to safety rules
Qualifications/Requirements
• Strong work ethic
• Previous experience is a plus but will train the right person
• Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
• Helpful to have Laser or CNC operating background
• Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
• Competent at basic shop math
• Basic computer skills
• Blueprint reading capability
• Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to multi-task
• Must be able to safely lift at least 50#
