JOB TITLE: Sr. Business Development Manager - Engineering Adhesives

JOB LOCATION: Bostik Business and Technology Center in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

JOB SUMMARY:

The role reports to Bostik, Inc Regional Business Director, Engineering Adhesives. Target segments include electronics sand medical devices with emphasis on applications that require Thermal Management systems. This customer facing position is critical for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities and by working with cross-functional Market Segment Teams. This position focuses on New Applications and New Technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Map out the market segments with top company potentials, align Bostik technologies with customer potential product offerings and build a Key Account mapper for the top accounts
• Develop relationships in the field and at the Advanced Design Centers in the specific market segments. Influence prospect's design strategy where possible to help secure new business.
• Scope out market specific trade shows to assess value and potential future exhibits for Bostik. Expand network at the trade shows and attend relevant conferences that can expand market knowledge and detect market trends
• This role will be an active member of the Engineering Adhesive Market Segment Team, which drives the market strategies.
• Drive projects through entire life cycle: market research and plan, new product development where necessary, lead generation, qualification at customer(s), and commercialization.
• Manage technical communication between prospects, specifiers, technical stakeholders, and our technical & marketing teams.
• With target customers, lead product specification and product qualification process.
• Lead with the support of Product Line Managers and Technical Service department on new products, and new application launches within specific segment including the "commercialization" stage of the Stage Gate process.
• Provide training of external key stakeholders and prospects on all relevant technologies and applications. Coordinate Technology Days at the design centers with the support of the technical group
• Manage and present to internal stakeholders the project pipeline through Customer Relationship Management systems.
• Represent Bostik by participating/presenting in industry groups and associations, technical committees, and trade shows.
• Lead global projects with marketing, technical and Business Development groups as needed.
• Practice Safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Bostik-specific Environmental Health and Safety department expectations.
• Build an opportunity pipeline through SF.com is specified markets with value $10Mn after 2 years

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Drive significant, high margin revenue growth with new applications in new markets and commercialization of new technologies.
• Identify industry trends, which provide the future direction of the Market Segment Team. Develop new markets for new technologies.
• Manage medium to high complexity, possibly global, business development projects as a Key Account Manager at assigned accounts
• Influence the design process of OEM is through education of Bostik technology. Acquire specifications through the selling of end users.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TECHNICAL SKILLS/BEHAVORIAL SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree required, marketing or technical degree. Masters, or an MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years' experience w/ Masters or 10+ years' experience with Bachelor's required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TECHNICAL SKILLS/BEHAVORIAL SKILLS:

• Experience in Business Creation, Sales, Tech Service, or similar roles.
• Experience with battery applications, electronics, commercial vehicle, rail, bus/coach OEMs.
• Experience in specific market or specific products and applications is preferred.
• Possess a high business acumen.
• Has strong project management skills: ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and formal presentation communication skills.
• Experience driving innovation using Stage Gate methodology.
• Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Overnight travel of 35% to 50%.
