Wire EDM Programmer/Operator - 1st shift - Temp - Hire

Job Description
Essential Functions:
Reports to the Tooling Manager
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Set-up and maintain Wire EDM
- Lay block in machine with print as guide
- Indicate straightness, flatness etc… with magnetic head
- Plot and test run program for accuracy and according to print spec.
- Run machine and maintain sufficient wire and load wire spools
- Perform quality checks
- Drop slugs or remove waste material from EDM processes
- Remove block by hand and clean with solvents and air gun.
- Programming for Wire EDM
- Coordinate incoming projects and repairs with tooling department staff
- Program tool paths
- Establish and meet project time lines.
Reports to the Tooling Manager
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- 3 years’ experience as an EDM programmer and operator.
- Strong time management skills
- Able to work independently
- Journeyman Card as a toolmaker would be a plus (not required)
