Under general supervision, the primary responsibility is providing classroom and lab instruction in the Fire programs offered by WCTC. Requires strong organizational skills, good communication skills, an ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction and include technology in the teaching of classes, and familiarity with all aspects of the Fire and Emergency Medical Services fields. Must be accessible to students and maintain positive relationships with industry-related organizations and businesses. The successful applicant will be responsible for completing requirements to obtain and maintain a current teaching certification from the Wisconsin Technical College System Board.

Lab and Certification Exam Instructional Rate $40/hour; Non-instructional $20/hour

This is a continuous posting. Applications will be reviewed on November 1 and June 1 each year. Teaching demonstrations/interviews will be held shortly after.
*Hours for this position will vary from Monday through Sunday including both daytime and evening hours. Adjunct instructors are expected to teach a minimum of 64 hours/semester (24 hours/summer). Instructors request instructional assignments through a scheduling software at the beginning of each semester.
