Job Description
Job Description:
This position is intended to be an entry level role to the Maintenance department, assisting the team with basic machine maintenance. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude who is eager to learn and get their foot in the door.

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will   play a critical role in day-to-day manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, assembling and updating equipment on the production floor. The technician will work closely with continuous improvement to roll out and sustain improvements. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure implementation and continual improvements. 
Essential Functions:
•      Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and assemble manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production
•      Work with continuous improvement team to roll out equipment upgrades. 
•      Audit and maintain work cell layout, equipment, and plant 5-S.
•        Collaborate with production personnel to relay improvement ideas to the continuous improvement engineers. 
•        Provide hands-on training to operators and other team members. 
•        Conduct basic preventative maintenance of equipment.
 
Other Functions:
•     Support continuous improvement initiatives. 
•     Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment. 
•     Perform other just do it activities given by management / CI staff. 
•     Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
•     Ability to read prints and drawings. 
•     Ability to complete mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly / repairs. 
 
Qualifications: 
•       High school diploma or equivalent. 
•       Certification in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred. 
•       Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
•       Able to communicate effectively.
•       Basic knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and expectations. 
•       Ability to list, push, or pull up to 70 lbs required.
•       Ability to stand and walk throughout the scheduled shift.
