Sr. Commercial Painter 2nd Shift - $25-27/hrJob Description Summary
This is a 2nd Shift Position and the role is location in Oro Valley, AZ.Paints, varnishes, stains, enamels, lacquers and redecorates walls, woodwork, ceilings and fixtures of plant facilities. Applies specialty coatings such as epoxy paint. Performs drywall repair and patching, fills cracks and tapes seams. Position performs painting preparation and associated minor wall work including minor installation of fixtures, whiteboards, and pictures. May apply corner guards, baseboards and other work involving hangers, adhesives, and caulking
**Please note that this role will also have Maintenance responsibilities tied to it as well. This will not be a 100% painter role. This role will perform building maintenance activities such as replacing or repairing ceilings, flooring, walls, bathroom fixtures and other general building maintenance activities, this includes painting and texturing walls.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions
*Following architectural guides and palette of colors to meet specified building finishes.
*Recordkeeping and organization of painting supplies and inventory.
*Ordering paint and supplies as needed.
*Preparation of work area including cleaning, patching, minor removal of small attachments to walls and other application surfaces. Proper masking and protection of nearby areas.
*Safe, proper handling of paints, solvents, and typical chemicals involved in painting work.
*Chooses appropriate paint finish i.e. flat, satin, gloss, etc. Selects latex, oil-base as per specification.
*Applies paints via different methods, including brush, roller, sprayer.
*Uses hand and power tools such as sander, wire brush.
*Makes color selection according to site standards.
*Proficient in safe transport and use of painters' lifts, ladders, and rolling stages.
*Maintains brushes and tools.
