Handle IT



A high-performing Assembly Technician ensures all Handle-it products are assembled, tested and shipped out to our customers safely, undamaged, and in a timely manner.  I pride myself on quality-assembled equipment, low return rates and happy customers.
I take ownership of all my building, fulfillment, shipping and maintenance activities, but my main goal is to help Handle-it attain our on-time shipping rate of 90% or better and keeping our incident/return rate to a minimum.  
I am successful when we as a company and the warehouse are flawlessly executing our fulfillment responsibilities.
If I do these things, I know Handle-it will grow and thrive.




Machine Building Activities:
  • Assemble, test, and/or install packaging equipment to customer requirements.
  • Implement and test optional accessories to machines as determined by the customer
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and work instructions to complete an assembly according to established guidelines and criteria.
  • Be able to work independently on installations, upgrades, and overhauls for packaging equipment.
  • Identify faulty components during the assembly process, make adjustments, and report them to management
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Package and prepare completed product for shipping
  • Manage time and expectations across multiple projects
  • Solve problems with a continuous improvement approach
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ensure that changes and problems are documented and communicated properly
  • Communicate with team members on project progress
  • Effectively and safely operate hand and power tools
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas
  • Ability to train and teach peers and end-users
  • Assist other departments and functions as needed

  • Reduced shipment damage and return rate of product
  • Elimination of product assembly errors
  • On-time shipping rate of 90% or more
  • Positive customer satisfaction reports

  • Minimal open order report past dues without updated status information
  • Minimal customer call-backs with regards to preventable quality or operational issues
  • All orders assembled, packaged and staged for pick up before freight pick-up
  • All warehouse inventory is of sellable quality
  • In the warehouse there is a place for everything, everything is in its place and is easy to find
