Assistant City Attorneys may be assigned any of the following duties, at the direction of the City Attorney:
Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school plus 4 - 6 years of experience in a municipal legal department or law firm representing municipalities, good standing in the State Bar of Wisconsin is required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. The ideal candidate would have the following knowledge and skills, but candidates need not have all to be considered. At a minimum, candidates must show an interest and be willing to learn these areas of law.
