As a Facilities Specialist you will be trusted to support all functions within the Soft Service group, including Janitorial Service (GXP & non-GXP), Pest Control, Cafeteria Services, Landscaping services, Space Management, & Fitness Center at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!

As a Facilities Specialist you will be trusted to support all functions within the Soft Service group, including Janitorial Service (GXP & non-GXP), Pest Control, Cafeteria Services, Landscaping services, Space Management, & Fitness Center at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Ensuring controlled cleaning logs/pest control are properly executed.
- Leading shift-to-shift communication sessions.
- On-boarding new personnel; setting up email, qualifications, and training.
- Department trainer.
- PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) trainer.
- Planning/scheduling shutdown cleaning efforts.
- Reviewing roles and responsibilities with new associates.
- Assisting with monthly meeting agenda.
- Communicating effectively with all groups within the Soft-Service team.
- Exhibiting excellent teamwork skills.
- Developing others utilizing best practices.
- Building and maintaining relationships with various departments/vendors.
- Effectively leading others.
- Inventory control for Soft Service Group.
- Managing CAPAs for Soft Service Group (pest control and GXP cleaning logs).
- Execution of department score cards.
- Ensure functionality of cleaning equipment.
- Communicating effectively and interacting with other departments and vendors.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Cleaning experience.
- Forklift/Scissor Lift experience.
- Experience with Quality documentation.
- Training and leadership experience.
- Strong people skills.
