We are looking for a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager tojoin our ChemCare (Environmental Services) team!

You will be responsible for building profitable sales for all key national accounts through additional sales with current customers and demonstrate dedication to prospecting and new business development. Employ a sales approach that focuses on building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts for further business, and improving the margin while reducing time and costs.

What you'll do

  • Improve Univar Solutions' position within each assigned account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account

  • Build and implement short, medium and long-term customer growth strategies.

  • Prospect for new business and grow Univar Solutions' market share at existing key accounts using a consultative selling process and ensuring all activity is accurately documented in Salesforce.

  • Provide professional input on complex assignments and projects and provide direction to more junior professionals.

  • Responsible for setting pricing and service levels, as well as maintaining and coordinating customer quotations or providing vital information to allow local branches to do so.

  • Responsible for coordination with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure accurate inventory levels and overall customer satisfaction.

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience managing large corporate accounts.

  • Sales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry sales is preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred (Technical Science, Chemistry), or equivalent experience.

  • Ability as both, an effective leader and teammate.

  • Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts.

  • Strong social skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates.

  • Excellent digital literacy including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.

  • Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users.

  • Effective negotiation skills.

Where you'll work

This is a home-based opportunity. Candidates located in Houston, TX; Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ are preferred.
