Job Title: Sr. ETL Validation expert - Snowflake exp. required (Hybrid)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test strategies to ensure the quality and functionality of software solutions.

* Develop and implement test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated).

* Analyze test results, identify issues and risks, and provide effective solutions.

* Collaborate closely with development teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test automation solutions.

* Ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions, giving significantly to our mission of delivering ground breaking technology solutions.

* Improve and maintain the test automation framework to support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.

* Handle the defect lifecycle from identification through to resolution, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.

* Apply Snowflake SQL and ANSI SQL to create and handle test data and environments, ensuring they meet the requirements of the projects.

* Apply Python scripting to automate repetitive tasks and enhance testing efficiency.

* Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and best practices in test and defect management.

* Conduct root cause analysis for defects and provide actionable insights for preventing future occurrences.

* Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to build their capabilities in test automation and quality assurance.

* Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in testing and apply this knowledge to improve our testing practices.

Required Qualifications:

* Good foundation in Snowflake SQL, Python, and ANSI SQL with hands-on experience.

* Between 8 to 12 years of experience.

* Consistent record in test and defect management, with the ability to design and implement effective testing strategies.

* Experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work optimally in a team.

* ISTQB Advanced level Test Automation Engineer or equivalent.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 06/21/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $82,000.00 - $109,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
