Under the direction of the President, the Maintenance Manager will perform general building, grounds and machine maintenance, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Accountable for the reliability of the building and equipment required to achieve uninterrupted production in the facility. Responsible for new equipment installation and environmental concerns regarding. The plant and the property as a whole.
Responsible for planning and overseeing the work of maintenance staff and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations of the facility.
Responsible for working closely with management and developing a Total Productive
Maintenance (TPM) System that is sustainable and auditable.
Job Elements:
Directs, coordinates and administers maintenance engineering functions and operations to
maintain the physical structures, machinery, utilities, facilities and property and arrangement of production machines and equipment
Performs a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating system, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc....
This is a hands-on position. Most repairs and planning are done in house. Ability to make repairs at a very high level are an expectation.
Performs or oversees maintenance in office and shop, to include doors, closures, desks, files, etc.
Plans major projects, prepares estimates, obtains sub-contractor quotations and personally supervises critical operations involved.
Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Directs and oversees preventative maintenance program
Ensures technicians are properly trained on tasks
Creates and promotes safe working conditions at all times.
Environmental, health and safety compliance at all times.
Assures useful life of equipment surpasses expectations.
Maintains computerized maintenance work order( MWO) system for tracking work orders and maintenance history
Maintains appropriate spare parts inventories.
Formal follow up on TPM throughout the facility.
All other duties as directed by the President
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization.
Experience troubleshooting and correcting electrical or mechanical problems, maintaining inventory levels and scheduling work is also required
Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical repairs to machines and building
Experience in preventative maintenance of shop machinery
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and or procedure manuals
