Maine Medical Partners Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient diabetes consult team at Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME. Come join our inpatient team consisting of a supervising physician and multiple APPs. Our team manages Type 1, Type 2 diabetes, and insulin pumps in the acute care setting. This management involves collaboration with other hospital teams in a fast -paced expanding field of diabetes care. We are growing our inpatient program, and this position will cover a varied weekly rotation for inpatient services at MMC.

Ideal candidate would have approximately 2 years experience, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule: 40 hours per week (4-10-hour shifts), approximately 1 weekend per month, no Holidays, Call or Evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Acute Care Certification needed for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
