Position Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for prepare and maintain raw material and assist in fulfilling the raw material needs of production orders. This effort includes, but is not limited to, unloading material deliveries, staging material based on production orders and assists with organizing and maintaining existing inventory through an ERP system. This individual works with all departments to ensure the materials are up to standard and organizes them for each department to easily access.

Hours: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm OR 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Essential Functions:

  • Receives, checks, identifies, dispatches and distributes to the appropriate department materials, supplies, returns and sub-contacted components
  • Examines items for defects in material, workmanship and damage occurring in transit
  • Compares quantity and part number of items received with Purchase Order
  • Ensures all necessary documentation packing slip, certificate of conformance and inspection sheets complies with the Purchase Order
  • Generates PO and shipping parts to subcontractors for outside processing
  • Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets using precision measuring instruments and devices
  • Utilizes our ERP System-AX Microsoft Dynamics
  • Operates the dock plate
  • Organizes and maintaining storage areas
  • Generates paperwork as per unique requirements for final product and ship to customer
  • Packages, labels and ships of product to customer
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a shipping and receiving position
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and a team player capable of working in a deadline driven environment
  • Flexible, reliable team player with ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Strong knowledge and experience with MS Excel and MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter
  • Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
