Transportation Analyst II
SUMMARY:
This position provides analytical transportation support to the pharmacy and manufacturing divisions. This individual will execute strategic improvements of transportation-related projects that drive operational efficiencies, optimize the customer delivery experience, and maximize transportation-related cost savings. The individual is responsible for interpreting performance and spending reports and recommending improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carrier Performance Scorecard Reports
KPI Reporting
Network Design Projects
Carrier Optimization
Adhoc Projects
Identify trends; recommend changes where necessary.
Supports external and internal clients with detailed costing analyses surrounding company-provided solutions. Supports the day-to-day analytical requests of both internal and external clients.
Maintain a centralized carrier rate agreement governance process across all modes and carriers within the network.
Develop, maintain, and update carrier route guides as needed.
Partners with Operations Teams to compare and analyze individual Distribution Center performance.
Manage relationship with transportation management system vendor(s)
Completes assigned projects on time and with thorough supporting documentation.
Completes other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A bachelor's degree is recommended, with a preference for a major in business, supply chain, data analytics, or logistics (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Work Experience:
5-7 years of experience in a domestic transportation operations-related role
Demonstrated experience managing carrier and vendor relationships.
Familiarity with carrier operations within the following modes: postal, postal induction, small parcel, courier, LTL, FTL
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies
Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships at all levels.
Ability to accurately analyze, interpret, and present data in a highly proficient/concise manner.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High Proficiency in utilizing large data sets.
High Proficiency in SQL (Preferred but not Required)
High Proficiency in Excel using existing internal templates, developing Macros, comfort with Pivot Tables, and building complex conditional formulas as needed.
Familiarity with the principles of table structures and data flows within OMS, WMS, and TMS systems.
