Ready to lead the charge in tech enablement? Join us as the Manager of Technical Operations in our dynamic Digital Workplace Endpoint team!

As the Manager, you'll oversee the full hardware lifecycles, including procurement, asset management, imaging, and disposal for Windows, MACs, cellular devices, and workspace peripherals. Partnering with external vendors, you'll ensure top-notch service levels are maintained.

This role is your gateway to networking and growth, collaborating with numerous business partners and teams. Get involved in exciting hardware projects and events across our organization and stay on the cutting edge of new tech innovations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the team with technical prowess, setting standards and best practices.
  • Drive major cross-functional projects to enhance technology operations capabilities.
  • Serve as the escalation point for technology operations and mentor team members.
  • Uses business and technology acumen to effectively manage the escalation path of end-user complaints and issues throughout the organization. Closes communication loop with all interested parties.
  • Collaborates, communicates and influences direct reports, stakeholders, and other business functions based on understanding of the marketplace, organizational needs, and the client as a people manager.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent, building a high-performing team.
  • Develops direct reports skills based on organizational objectives, evaluates skill gaps, and manages succession planning to develop more capable direct reports, diverse, strong teams and better organizational performance in an equitable and inclusive manner.
  • Automate operational tasks and reporting, driving efficiency in work processes.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-5 years of professional experience required.
  • 3-4 years of technical leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Proven track record of delivering game-changing technology solutions.
  • Agile methodology expertise in solution delivery.
  • A natural communicator who bridges the gap between product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Proficient in: Service Management (ITIL), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Budget Management, ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$100,030.00

Pay Range - End:

$185,770.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
