Salary Range: $4,000 per course.

Exempt Position: 10 hours per week, non-benefits eligible, Fixed-Term Track faculty position

Essential Functions

The Department of Public Administration at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is considering applications for part-time adjunct lecturers to teach in its Master of Public Administration (MPA) and the Bachelor of Public Administration and Policy (BPAP) degree programs for Spring and Summer 2024. Adjuncts are paid per course taught. Undergraduate courses are mostly taught during the day. Master's level courses are taught in the evenings.



Successful candidates must have either a terminal degree in Public Administration (or related field) or extensive, applied experience in these topics.

Required Qualifications



Master's Level:
  • Doctorate degree in public administration (or related field of study), or a master's degree in public administration with a strong record of professional work experience relevant to the course's specific subject matter.

Undergraduate Level:
  • Master's degree in public administration, or closely related field of study.

Preferred Qualifications



Master's Level:
  • Teaching experience is desirable.

Undergraduate Level:
  • Teaching and/or work experience relevant to the course's specific subject matter is desirable.
