Endeavor Health's NorthShore Hospitals Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is an ideal environment for providers who value exceptional clinical care and care coordination. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults. Our psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists deliver evidence-based care at 11 outpatient locations and 3 4 dedicated inpatient units.

What you will do:

  • Establish a stimulating and varied outpatient psychiatry practice focusing on Geriatric Psychiatry
  • You will have both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, as follows:

    On a weekly basis, you will maintain an average of 30 bookable hours combining both in-person and telehealth care, primarily serving the outpatient geriatric patient population.

    About 4 hours per week will be focused on developing a Geriatric Psychiatry outpatient program for all geriatric outpatients who are appropriate for medical group care.

    You will be expected to participate in the Adult Psychiatry weekday call rotation and weekend coverage rotation, with weekend and weekday coverage obligations consistent with your peers in the Division of Adult Psychiatry.

  • Potential appointment as Medical Director of the service is possible, commensurate with experience.
  • Other duties you will be expected to perform are, but not limited to:

Meet regularly with the Division Head of Adult Psychiatry to discuss issues related to productivity and availability and be involved in activities at NorthShore related to the Division of Adult Psychiatry. Perform duties as required by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Adult Psychiatry, the Professional Staff Office, and the Pritzker School of Medicine such as teaching and serving on committees.

What you will need:

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Psychiatry residency training program
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship training program
  • Illinois medical license or pending
  • DEA/Controlled Substance License
  • BC/BE with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
