JOB TITLE: Line Cook

DIVISION: Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager/Chef

LOCATION: Banquet Restuarants

CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Part-Time/ Seasonal/ Hourly

POSITION:

Solitude is on the search for an experienced line cook to join our talented team and help prepare meals according to our restaurant's recipes. The line cook assists the chef in setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately the line cook is an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth. We are striving to hire a hard-working dedicated individual who will bring value to the Restaurant.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 Years of experience working as a Line Cook and/or Prep Cook preferred
  • Formal Culinary Training/Degree preferred
  • Responsible for full set up and preparation of hot and cold food items
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all FOH/BOH staff
  • Ability to take orders and work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willing to work flexible work schedules that may include holidays and weekends
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses and or certifications such as Food Handler's Certificate


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Chef in preparation of all components of the menu items from appetizers to entrees. This includes, but is not limited to: Stocks, Sauces, Proteins, Starches, Vegetables, Soups, etc.
  • Accurately measure foods and adjust recipes for food preparation process
  • Train with Chef/Sous Chef and act as backup for Garde Mange station in preparing salads, apps, and cold kitchen plates
  • Actively participate in all kitchen cleaning duties, including station tear down, dishwashing, equipment cleaning, sweeping, moping, etc.
