Overview

NovaCare Prosthetics and Orthotics seeking a full-time Certified Orthotist for our clinic in Farmington, MO

The ideal practitioner should be highly motivated and excited to manage a comprehensive and lucrative orthotic practice while providing patient assessment, treatment plans, follow-up care, and practice management. This position comes with a great opportunity to continue a well-developed orthotic business in-house, and grow an ongoing orthotic relationship with several local hospitals. The ideal practitioner will be a self-driven and motivated individual who can become a key player in a dynamic team atmosphere.

Board Certified (BOC) certification in Orthotics required

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Compensation: Salaried, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with orthotic practitioners in the evaluation & analysis of patient needs for orthotic services
    Perform fitting of prefabricated and custom fitted orthotic devices and/or soft goods related to a patient's needs, as indicated by an orthotic practitioner or physician; execute minor modifications as necessary
  • Evaluate orthotic device on patient, adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work
  • Instruct patient in use of the device and reconcile issues to ensure patient satisfaction
  • Perform outcomes measures, medical history documentation, and clinical notes annotation support for clinical staff
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university from a recognized Orthotics school

Board Certified (BOC) certification in Orthotics required

Minimum of one (1) year experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner
