Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for providing support and overseeing the Financial Manager function across all of Crowe's BUs. Because of the varying level of financial acumen in the various BUs this will look different in the four client facing BUs (coordinate communication / drive cross BU collaboration / identify best practices ) and the firm's internal BUs. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and strategic planning for the Crowe's Annual Budget Process, Reforecast, and Growth Model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the budget, reforecast, and growth model processes for Crowe. This would include:
o Establishing a timeline for the budget process and coordinating communications
o Work with Firm IT to identify enhancements that can be made to TM1 for better reporting / easier practices
o Review of budget model data and Workday budget data for accuracy / completeness
o Work directly with budget model users to help them customize their views / approaches to increase their efficiency and effectiveness
o Ensure consistent approaches used by all BU for final budget information to ensure ability to pull reports at a firm level
o Drive the development of a new budget process
o Working with Tracy Kenna, develop the reports used for meetings with BU Leadership, Management Committee, and Board
* Mentor the financial managers within each of the Internal BUs to help enhance their financial understand / acumen.
* Collaborate with all Financial Managers to either help them answer questions they are struggling with or to answer questions driven by the firm.
* Facilitate monthly meeting for Client Facing BU Financial Managers where best practices are shared and Key Financial Matters are communicated that will impact the BUs.
* Establish a reporting process / cadence that can be utilized by all internal BUs.
* Facilitate a monthly meeting for the Internal BU Financial Managers were best practices are shared and Key Financial Matters are communicated that will impact the BUs.
* Identify major MTD and YTD variances from budget to actual by BU that can be used for follow-up conversations with the CFO and leaders of each BU.
* Financial modeling / analysis related to Crowe's Growth Model and Acquisitions

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree; Finance or Accounting. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
* Experience in finance related business role
* Strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
* Solid experience using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies and working with multiple data sources to generate insights from analyses (e.g. dashboards, tables, metrics) answering questions or creating solutions, and manipulating data (e.g. check for data issues, clean, merge)
* Experience using data visualization (e.g. tables, graphs) to tell a story and represent analyses to an executive audience
* Ability to connect business strategy to financial strategy
* Proven capability to balance multiple priorities and excellent written and visual communication skills
* A strong sense of curiosity about the world and social behavior
* Project management experience
* Ability to understand strategic objectives and translate into delivery via compelling, well framed presentations
* Strong problem formulation and problem-solving skills
* Superior learning agility; able to learn independently from a variety of sources; ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
* Collaboration skills to develop buy-in and consensus that drives progress and results.
