As a full time Procurement Analyst you will use your knowledge of procurement and reimbursements to support the administrative operations of the Semel Institute and Child Division of Psychiatry. The administrative core of this division supports 40 Faculty members, Principal Investigators and their staff.

Daily duties will include:

  • Draft and execution of purchase orders.
  • Participation in the development of simple Request for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Processing of invoices and reimbursements from faculty and staff, alike.
  • Resolution of vendor/invoice problems in a timely manner with accounts payable.
  • Interpretation and application of basic University policies and procedures.
  • Serving as liaison between the unit, campus, and vendors to resolve delays in orders and/or payments.
  • Coordination of airfare and preparation of travel vouchers and reimbursements.
  • Ensuring expense reports meet and comply with University policy.
  • Making suggestions for process improve and streamlining of processes.
  • Assisting with other duties and projects as needed.

Pay Range: $26.48 - $53.40 hourly.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Analytical skills necessary to evaluate the cost effectiveness of purchasing options.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to read and interpret terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Working level of proficiency in the use of standard spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Some knowledge of the organization's departments and operations required in order to meet their procurement needs.
  • Understands procurement policies and systems such as Procurement, Travel systems, etc.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, with high degree of accuracy

Preferred:
  • Experience in purchasing, 1-3 years
