Reporting to the Associate Vice Dean for Student Affairs in the School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM), the Senior Financial Aid Counselor provides information, advice and direction to TUSPM current and prospective students seeking financial aid, assists with financial aid application preparation and budgeting, and provides reporting regarding student indebtedness and other metrics in concert with the Temple University Office of Student Financial Services as well as local, state and federal agencies. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; two (2) years' experience in a financial aid position in a post-secondary academic institution, with demonstrated knowledge of federal financial aid guidelines and experience with financial services and/or student records software applications preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
*Must be organized, self-directed, detail oriented, able to work independently, communicate clearly and effectively, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
*Must have a customer service orientation, project management skills and the ability to interact with professionalism and tact under stress.
*Must be proficient with applications such as Microsoft Office and be able to adapt to new technology.
