The Johnson County Mental Health Justice Team is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position of a Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN) to work 2 shifts/week and on an On-Call basis.
The Mental Health Nurse provides direct psychiatric services to inmates in a correctional setting. First review of applications will be May 24.
Job Duties includes:
Successful completion of education program in Nursing that meets the requirements for the Registered Nurse license; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
One year of nursing experience is preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:
All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments/agencies in a declared emergency situation.
