JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Auditor I is to ensure compliance with Kontoor internal controls, procedures, and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit Materials (Proto, Special Request, DC, Laundry, etc.)
    • Each auditor is expected to audit a minimum of 50 garments per day. Audits can be made of any of the following - Protos, Special Samples, TOP Samples, PP Samples, Fit and Finish, Test Cuts, Account Garments, Consumer Garments, DC Garments, Manufacturing Garments, Competitor Garments, or any other garments needing review. Garments could be audited Before Wash / After Wash or both. Depending on the location of the audit it may include Measurements, Workmanship, VCI or any combination of these.
  • Review & Classify Garments according to PES
    • Must have ability to understand and retain PES information for decision making during audit process. The PES is the auditor's manual for classifying irregular and critical garments.
  • VCI
    • VCI is a set scale with definitions that auditors must memorize for making quick decisions during the audit process. Auditors need to have the ability to see color/shade differences between garments. VCI also includes being able to see differences in dry processing (Hand sand, PP Spray, Whiskers, Tacking, Grinding, Resin, Etc.) between garments. (This may not apply to all audit locations.)
  • Test any new Systems/Methods/Processes
    • Any new systems/methods/processes will be deployed to the lead auditor/s for testing and validation. Their input will be key to updating and improving processes and methods.
  • Basic Knowledge of Fit & Shrinkage
    • Auditors should have a basic understanding of how the pattern shrinkage effects the garment fit. This requires being able to locate the information in systems, evaluate the fit results, and propose any changes/updates back to the pattern team.
  • Communication
    • Must have good verbal and written skills so that audit results can clearly be communicated to appropriate teams.
  • Basic Knowledge of Garment Construction
    • Auditors should have an understanding of garment construction and manufacturing terminology. This will ensure that they are able to recognize defects using written instruction and communicate their findings clearly.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • HS Diploma
  • Preferred 2 year or Technical Degree
