Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for providing maintenance needs to the production floor to keep all machines and the plant running smoothly each day. 

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Checks in every morning with the plant manager on the day's schedule.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance and up-keep of all molding equipment.  This includes all machinery and support equipment necessary to maintain the production process (i.e. - molding machines, grinders, thermolators, chillers, conveyor systems, loading equipment, drying equipment and anything else that aids and supports the production process).
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance and upkeep of all equipment in auxiliary departments, i.e. tool room and finishing.
  • Must be able to fill out paperwork required in the maintenance department (i.e. - work orders, charts, etc.).  Must be able to do all computer entry, involving preventative maintenance scheduling, inventories, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the company’s business systems maintenance program.
  • Must display a positive attitude toward his/her job and fellow colleagues at E-S Plastic Products, Inc.
  • Responsible for making decisions involving production equipment as to necessary requirements for proper repair. 
  • Assist with part ordering and any other decisions required in daily schedule.
  • Handle quoting and vendor relationships for parts, supplies, machine manufacturers, and maintaining equipment.
  • Assist with general building maintenance needs and partner with outside services where and when needed (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Participate and/or lead projects for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous injection molding experience preferred
  • Previous plumbing experience
  • Must be familiar with industrial electricity and use of a multimeter
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams
  • General Fabrication skills cutting, welding and brazing
  • Proficient use of measuring devices calipers, micrometers, bore gages etc.
  • Technical training a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude

Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to safely lift 60 pounds or more
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Able to work in an environment where the temperature may fluctuate
  • Able to safely get on and off company vehicles and lifts
