Job Description
Position Title: Financial Payroll Specialist
A Financial Payroll Specialist job in Rockford, IL is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions.
This role requires candidates to have 3+ years of Payroll and Accounting experience within a public sector or union environment. In this position, candidates will maintain payroll systems, ensure payroll processing is complete in a timely manner, and prepare W-2 and W-3 documents within payroll system. This position will also maintain the general ledger, assist in the preparation of financial and budget reports, complete month end close, and complete invoice processing.
Financial Payroll Specialist job responsibilities include:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of Payroll and Accounting experience within a public sector or union environment
- Strong experience with Payroll systems, accounting software, and other financial systems
- Excellent timekeeping experience
- Experience with financial reporting
- Understanding of auditing
- Strong leadership skills
