Job title: Data Engineering Trainer

Work location: Irving, TX / The Woodlands, TX / Alpharetta, GA / Richmond VA / Columbus OH

Current Need:

Mckesson Corporation is looking for a Data Engineering Trainer willing to play a crucial role in training, designing, onboarding users to data engineering platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop training programs and conduct sessions to onboard users providing a deep understanding of data engineering principles, cloud technologies, and a commitment to delivering high quality solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training programs on Data Engineering concepts, tools, and best practices using Databricks, Spark, Notebooks.
  • Train and onboard users to Data Engineering platform, ensuring users have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the platform.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users during the onboarding process and throughout their engagement with the platform.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop training materials, documentation, and resources.
  • Stay UpToDate with the latest trends and advancements in Data Engineering, and incorporate them into training programs as appropriate.
  • Contribute to data modernization efforts by working with cloud solutions and implementing best practices for building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to data processing and data pipeline optimization.
  • Communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders effectively.
  • Contribute to data modernization efforts by leveraging cloud solutions and optimizing data processing workflows.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership by staying abreast of emerging data engineering technologies and implementing industry best practices.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team to address unique challenges in talent attraction, development, and retention.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience of professional experience in related IT field

Critical Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of multiple source systems such as Peoplesoft, Mainframe, JDE. SAP, Ariba, Salesforce etc
  • Deep technical expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines and large scale processing systems.
  • Experience working with cloud solutions and contributing to data modernization efforts.
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Pyspark, Scala) for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Excellent understanding of data engineering principles, data architecture, and database management.
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Additional Experience:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare, distribution, or software industries is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience with a wide variety of technologies
  • Ability to rapidly learn and if required evaluate a new tool or technology.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated technical experience.
  • Be an innovative thinker.
  • Must have a strong customer and quality focus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science).

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$149,900 - $249,800
