Job Description

The Finance Manager position will report to the VP Finance. This position will be responsible for the accounting cycle including budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, capital expenditures, regulatory and financial reporting, and developing and maintaining internal control policies and procedures for the following departments: Distribution, Logistics, Customer Service, Quality and Regulatory, and other Operations Corporate functions. Delivering exceptional results by setting standards for excellence through the use of objective performance metrics and demonstrating accountability, determination and resilience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial partner overseeing assigned departments including Distribution, Logistics, Customer Service, Quality and Regulatory, and other Operations Corporate functions to ensure GAAP compliance and strong financial position.

  • Lead and direct the monthly financial closing, analysis, consolidation, and reporting for assigned departments as well as consolidation of forecast for total Operations.

  • Build, engage and develop a high performing team that is responsive to stakeholders, business-focused, and motivated to continuously improve project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with logistics team to forecast, analyze and report out on freight metrics weekly and monthly.

  • Responsible for analyzing and reporting on inventory values and cycle count accuracy at the Distribution center.

  • Consolidate capital reporting on a monthly cadence.

  • Prepare and present on monthly variance analysis to leadership team.

  • Lead and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and reporting of variances.

  • Partner closely with upper management to analyze and resolve problems with the goal of continuously improving the performance of the assigned departments, the finance function and engaging business partners.

  • Build, engage and develop a high performing team that is responsive to stakeholders, business-focused, and motivated to continuously improve project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

  • Establish and maintain global accounting procedures and policies.

  • Perform financial statement analysis for cost improvement and new capital projects.

  • Responsible for general ledger accounting including but not limited to inventory, accruals, and journal entries.

  • Offer financial guidance on reporting and technical accounting issues.

  • Manage internal controls operating effectiveness design and evaluation.

  • Present financial information and accounting and reporting issues status.

  • Drive standardization in financial reporting packages.

  • Assist with M&A opportunities from an accounting perspective and continue the integration of recent acquisitions.

  • Partner closely with site leadership and upper management to analyze and resolve problems with the goal of continuously improving the performance of the site, the finance function and engaging business partners.

  • Provide coaching and education to improve the financial acumen of business leaders, resulting in proactive decision making and ownership of results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance.

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in the accounting /finance function.

Preferred Experience:

  • Medical device experience preferred.

  • Management of personnel

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end close process

  • Advanced ERP, excel and or data visualization.

  • Data modeling and Power BI experience preferred

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Effective communication to executive leadership team
