Provide leadership to manufacturing employees by being visible, clear in communicating relevant information, and coaching to drive employee performance.
Accountable for maintaining accurate quality metrics and concise, professional communication with our internal and external customers.
Drive continuous improvement of site procedures and processes to drive lower customer complaints, higher efficiencies, and lower costs to the business.
Train and assist in the development/onboarding plans of new hires.
Analyze opportunities to improve quality and yield by engaging employees through continuous improvement activities.
Create and maintain a culture of respect, professionalism, and cooperation among the team.
Lead the development and implementation of the cost savings program.
Maintain and calibrate all necessary testing equipment, product specification process, and non-conforming product management.
Manage outturn sampling and Certificate of Analysis (COA) process.
Ensure the effective implementation of the site Quality Management Systems and compliance with any external certifications, performing audits and conducting routine reviews with Management.
Responsible for the execution of the customer complaints process, conducting thorough investigations, corrective and preventative actions, and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
This role drives improvements through both strategic and tactical leadership of daily improvement, focused improvement events, and standard work processes.
Manage projects and maintain tracking systems to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and cost.
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, paper science or another technical field is required.
Prior related experience in a process-oriented manufacturing environment and continuous improvement processes such as Lean and Six Sigma are preferred.
Required Skills:
Highly motivated and self-directed to enable success in working in a matrix reporting environment.
Strong problem solving, quantitative, analytical skills. Six Sigma or ASQ Certification a plus.
Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills
Strong skills in various applications including Minitab, Microsoft, and ERP systems

Compensation
$73,000-$78,000
