Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Consumer Compliance Data Analyst to support bank Compliance evaluation, including Fair and Responsible Banking (FARB) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). This position is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data related to community reinvestment and fair banking, and consumer compliance practices. You will also be responsible for supporting the FaRB/CRA Officer in administering and maintaining the Fair and Responsible Banking and Community Reinvestment Act programs providing reasonable assurance that Cornerstone Capital Bank, SSB, and its affiliates and divisions are operating in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What you'll do:

  • You'll gather data from lines of business (LOBs) and Market Representatives to include: HMDA, CRA, Services/Investments, Deposits, and Locations, along with additional information.
  • You'll import and manage data in our RiskExec software and reporting templates for Second Line of Defense reporting to LOBs, Committees, and Board.
  • You'll prepare enterprise aggregate reporting of the above at least quarterly.
  • You'll collaborate with all lines of business and all seniority levels of Team Members.
  • You'll perform periodic monitoring reviews of data integrity and Line of Business ("LOB") procedures.
  • You'll assist with providing data to support FaRB and CRA Risk Assessments, Plans, and Self-Assessments.
  • You'll assist with supplemental LOB training as needed.
  • You'll participate in FaRB and CRA Initiatives across the enterprise.
  • You'll read and comprehend fair lending, UDAAP, and CRA laws, rules, regulations, and regulatory agency policy statements and guidance (Laws, Rules, and Regulations).

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS, or experience with pivot tables and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is desirable
  • Advanced MS Office skills in Excel, ACCESS, Powerpoint. etc
  • Data processing experience from various core platforms
  • Experienced in creating analytics from CRA, HMDA, and/or fair lending software such as RiskExec, PCIWiz, RATAComply or similar software
  • Proficiency in Federal Regulations such as Regulation B - Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation C - Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
  • Experience in a Bank Compliance Environment, large bank CRA experience or former regulatory experience with the FDIC, CFPB, Federal Reserve or OCC is a plus
  • 1-5 years of experience with risk management practices and regulatory expectations
  • Collaborative written and verbal communication with all levels of employees
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Familiarity with the mortgage process and documents required
  • Ability to adapt well to change
  • Exceptional computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Suite,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to take direction and comprehend training
