ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides leadership and vision for the Accounting/Finance team.
  2. Supervises day-to-day functions of accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, cash management, revenue cycle management, and cost accounting.
  3. Manages the preparation and dissemination of timely, accurate financial statements for all Tabitha Entities including management agreements with outside entities. (Operating Statements, Statistics, Cash Flow, Budget Variances, etc...)
  4. Ensures that all Tax, Audit and Cost Reporting Processes are coordinated and completed on a timely and accurate basis (including work paper preparation, PS&R reconciliation, and filing).
  5. Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information.
  6. Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
  7. Performs budget variance analysis and assists in creating action plans to respond to budget variances.
  8. Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient and furnishes external reports as necessary.
  9. Ensures that systems and software used in the administration of all duties and responsibilities are effective, efficient, and accurate. (Selection, Updates, Installations, Development)
  10. Maintains system of accounts and keeps records on all company transactions and assets.
  11. Responsible for providing effective financial controls for the organization.
  12. Collaborates to develop strategies for forecasting and controlling costs related to key risk areas for Tabitha (i.e. TEAMember benefits, workers compensation, etc.).
  13. Serves on appropriate boards and committees within the community. Works independently in identifying and resolving issues, concerns and problems. Acquires subject matter expertise in the functions and activities of the department.
  14. Communicates expectations, holds employees accountable, and manages consistently. Contributes to the success of Tabitha employees by coaching, developing, encouraging, nurturing, mentoring, challenging, and setting an example for direct reports. This will include working with TEAMembers on correcting performance deficiencies, policy violations, or any other area of concern.
  15. Participates fully as a member of leadership, contributing the skills, talents and abilities that are unique to the individual for the good of Tabitha. Embraces responsibility for the success of various Tabitha initiatives, taking on fair share of workload for implementing said initiatives.
  16. Willingly takes on additional duties and/or assignments, assisting with projects and responding to requests as assigned or as necessary.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA highly desirable).
  • EXPERIENCE: 5 years financial statement preparation experience required. Microsoft Office experience required. Accounting supervisory experience preferred. Health care experience preferred (knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reporting and IRS 990 tax return). Multi-corporate accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of Home health and SNF billing systems and Great Plains software preferred. Financial Modeling, Insurance and Risk Management, tax return preparation and auditing experience preferred.
  • CREDENTIALS: Valid Nebraska Driver's license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.
