Senior Treasury Analyst- Wholesale Funding

What you'll do:

The Funding Team is part of the Balance Sheet Management function within Corporate Treasury. The Treasury Sr. Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the Funding Team on day-to-day core Treasury activities centered around managing the Bank's daily balance sheet liquidity, e.g., maintaining and developing cash flow forecasts, executing short-term borrowings, ensuring sufficient readily available collateral for contingent liquidity. Responsibilities of the -Funding Team include, but are not limited to:
*The firms Cash Flow Forecasting processes, including Intraday.
*Setting the firms Funding Strategy, Funding Plan, and execution of the Plan through available funding channels, e.g., repo, brokered CD's, FHLB advances, long-term debt.
*Monitoring and managing firm-wide and legal entity cash and liquidity positions.
*Collateral Management and Balance Sheet Optimization.
*Production of key firm-wide cash and liquidity position reporting, including availability of contingent funding sources, collaboratively with Liquidity Management team.
*Preparing reports for ALCO, the Board, and other relevant Management committees.
*Partnering closely with other teams in Corporate Treasury, i.e., Liquidity Management, Investment Portfolio, Capital Planning, and ALM teams', as well as Second Line Risk and Third-Line Internal Audit partners.
The candidate will be responsible for key aspects of liquidity management including short-term cash management and forecasting, including intra-day, and wholesale funding execution. The candidate will participate in discussions with management on funding and liquidity strategy and planning and will work closely with various lines of business and their teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in Treasury including cash flow forecasting and funding execution, liquidity management, markets knowledge, project management skills, analytical acumen, and good communication skills.

What we are looking for:

  • Monitoring company cash levels on a real-time basis and borrowing from available liquidity channels as necessary.

  • Prepare daily liquidity reports including monthly collateral reporting.

  • Assist with monitoring and managing firmwide and legal entity liquidity positions.

  • Participate in liquidity and cash flow forecasting for firm legal entities.

  • Develop and monitor liquidity KRI's including Early Warning Indicators (EWIs), collaboratively with Liquidity Management Team, to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant liquidity risk metrics.

  • Ensure a robust control environment is maintained through compliance with all policies, procedures, and directives. Develop policies and/or procedures, as needed.

  • Execute 3rd party wire transactions and internal cash transfers as needed for Treasury related activity, e.g., derivative margin, intercompany cash management.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Treasury or finance/banking industry experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Team-first mindset

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate initiative

  • Inquisitive, willing to challenge the status quo and strive to improve

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Excel proficiency

  • VBA and SQL desired

  • Knowledge of bank regulations an added benefit
