The Learning Content Creator creates educational materials for various subjects or skills, including manuals, guides, presentations, videos, and interactive modules. Responsibilities include conducting research, designing curriculum, writing engaging content, and collaborating with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure materials meet learning objectives. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt content for different learning styles is essential.

This role is integral to our mission of continuous growth and development, focusing on the creation and delivery of training programs necessary for the effective use and understanding of our new core banking software platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, training facilitation, and a passion for promoting an inclusive and innovative organizational culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive learning materials and courses, tailored to both in-person and digital formats, to facilitate understanding and efficient use.
  • Conduct training needs analyses to identify specific training needs within various departments.
  • Design a structured curriculum that aligns with learning objectives and meets the needs of the target audience.
  • Promote and adhere to the company's values of empowerment, authenticity, unity, and innovation throughout training processes and materials.
  • Apply instructional design principles to ensure content is structured in a way that promotes effective learning, including activities, assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions to diverse audiences, ensuring a high retention of learning and application of knowledge.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that training materials are accurate and align with system functionalities and updates.
  • Regularly review and update existing learning materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning goals and objectives.
  • Manage timelines and resources effectively to deliver learning content on schedule and within scope.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of the content through proofreading, editing, and testing materials before deployment.
  • Utilize instructional technology tools and platforms to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of training materials.
  • Manage the full cycle of training activities, including scheduling, logistics, delivery, and follow-up assessments.
  • Support the creation of a knowledge base and on-demand learning resources for ongoing employee reference and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the training program's effectiveness and make improvements as necessary.
  • Prepare and reports statistical training data to the management team.
  • Achieve a minimum of "Satisfactory" rating on internal audits and examinations.
  • Accomplish the credit union's mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management or other staff members.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalency certification. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Education, Human Resources, or related field. a Minimum of three (3) years experience demonstrating proficiency in development, curriculum design, and project management. Experience working in a financial institution is preferred.

  • Proven experience in instructional design and training facilitation, ideally in a financial or tech-related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in e-learning platforms and MS Office; familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of professional development curriculum methodologies and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, regulations, and procedures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FiServ DNA operating platform is a plus.
