Job Summary	Outreach at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Writer to assist with copywriting for marketing collateral, writing feature stories and news releases, assisting with social media and website content, and bringing energy and ideas to a growing creative team. Essential Functions	Write news and feature stories as assigned Pitch story ideas Curate, copy edit and fact-check content as needed Assist in the development and execution of communications plans
Minimum Qualifications	Currently enrolled student at Auburn University Expectations: Desire to sharpen story-telling writing skills and contribute to a creative team Willingness to suggest stories that will be of interest to Auburn University Outreach target markets Ability to meet deadlines Attention to detail and knowledge of AP Style
Preferred Qualifications	Experience writing about newsworthy people, activities or events
Pay Rate	$12.00/hour - $15.00/hour
Work Hours	10 hours per week
