Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. has an immediate need for an industrial services controls technician to support the Machine Guarding and Industrial Wastewater Services in our Plainville, Connecticut Office. This position will support a diverse mix of projects and provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in several of our service areas and operating divisions.
The primary role of the technician will be to support and conduct field installations and design activities involving industrial projects and systems. The technician will be tasked with controls design and procurement, electrical and control wiring, control panel building, read/create electrical wiring diagrams, electrical controls installations, troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, and fabrication. This position will require hands-on work with fabrication and in field installations for complex systems and components. Manual dexterity, good technical skills and hands-on ability are of the upmost importance for success in this role and will be required to fill this position. The ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics, etc. is preferred, but training will be part of this position. With the diverse projects and environments, training and good safety practices will be of the upmost importance while performing all field activities, and adherence to company and client regulation is a mandatory part of the position.
