Job Overview

Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to assist senior technicians in solving complex problems by using manufactures' manuals, Navy technical manuals, or similar documents. Complete Facility Certification and Navy Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS) for 3-M to the 301 Maintenance Person level during probationary period. Complete Navy 3-M Job Qualifications Requirements on the AN/FSQ-204 (STARS), AN/GPN-30 (DASR), AN/FPN-68(PAR), and the AN/URN-32 (TACAN).

Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on air traffic control related systems and equipment, including, but not limited to communications (UHF/ VHF), RADAR, test equipment, and ancillaries under supervision of senior technicians.
  • Assists senior technicians with work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices to include installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing.
  • Completes maintenance as required by the U.S. Navy Preventive Maintenance Material Management (3-M) System.
  • Assists in performing corrective actions on trouble calls generated by customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Associates Degree in electronics or minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of electronics equipment. Military technical education may be substituted for formal education.
  • Maintain valid State issued Driver's License.
  • Capable of passing a background check and/or drug test as required by the contract.
