Job Description

As the Vice President of Technical Support and Professional Services for AI Data Center and Cloud at DDN Storage, you will be responsible for leading the global delivery of exceptional technical support and professional services to our AI customers in both data center and cloud environments. You will drive the development and implementation of best-in-class support and services strategies, ensuring that our customers receive the highest levels of technical expertise, responsiveness, and proactive guidance throughout their AI journey with DDN Storage. As a hands-on technical leader, you will play a critical role in building and nurturing long-term customer relationships, and in driving the continuous improvement of our support and services capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our AI customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

    Define and execute the global strategy for technical support and professional services delivery to DDN Storage's AI data center and cloud customers, ensuring alignment with the company's overall customer success and business objectives.
  • Lead a highly skilled team of technical support engineers, escalation managers, and professional services consultants, fostering a culture of customer-centricity, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement best practices and methodologies for AI storage support and services delivery, including incident management, problem resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive maintenance and optimization.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for enhancing the supportability and serviceability of DDN Storage's AI solutions, and drive the implementation of these enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key AI customers, serving as an executive sponsor and escalation point for critical support issues and strategic service engagements.
  • Drive the development and delivery of value-added professional services offerings, such as performance optimization, solution architecture, and migration services, that help customers maximize the value of their AI investments with DDN Storage.
  • Collaborate with customer success and sales teams to identify and pursue opportunities for expanding the adoption of DDN Storage's solutions within existing AI customer accounts, and for leveraging customer success stories to drive new business growth.
  • Define and track key metrics and KPIs related to technical support and professional services performance, including customer satisfaction, time-to-resolution, and service delivery efficiency, and provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in technical support and professional services leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in the AI, storage, or high-performance computing industry.
  • Deep technical expertise in AI infrastructure, including storage systems, compute platforms, networking technologies, and software frameworks and tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing technical support and professional services teams, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and driving a culture of customer success and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to dive deep into complex technical issues and drive rapid resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing best practices and methodologies for technical support and professional services delivery, with a deep understanding of industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of driving high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty in the AI or high-performance computing space, with a focus on delivering value-added services and support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
