Job Description
Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions, has a position available for a Mechanical Engineer in our New Orleans Headquarters. The successful candidate will be interested in gaining knowledge in industrial equipment design, fabrication, and installation. The successful candidate will be able to work within a small team and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Design industrial equipment using SolidWorks, configuration tools, and design procedures
  • Travel to various sites to gather information on existing system conditions and develop a plan to install Intralox technology
  • Participate and conduct internal design and risk assessment reviews
  • Review and analyze technical specifications and customer supplied drawings
  • Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies according to Hydrolox or customer standards
  • Create and maintain bill of materials and other technical documentation
  • Create, store, and modify CAD data and project information in PDM systems
  • Responsible for timelines, accuracy, and quality of design and drafting work
  • Conduct complete Factory Acceptance Testing
  • Attend installations for continuous improvement
  • Support a global engineering team and its customers
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and complete project close-out

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field of study
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with 3D CAD software
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures, long work hours, and adverse conditions
  • Experience in the use of various hand & measuring tools
  • Ability to move around facilities and access jobsite equipment locations
  • Safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, well beyond 8hr workday in non-climate controlled environments
  • Work with personnel at all levels of an organization
  • Willingness to travel up to 25-35% of the time
  • Some work occurs on holidays and weekends when required by specific projects
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Visual Basic desired
  • Experience in engineering field work desired
