Job Overview
The Workday Senior Technical Analyst uses DevOps practices and tools to analyze and deliver predictable and repeatable solution design artifacts that enable continuous solution delivery by domain DevOps and operations teams. They support multiple systems and business domains defining solutions of moderate to high complexity. Every product at T-Mobile is envisioned and created to achieve a specific business purpose or set of business results with this role primarily focusing on HR (Human Resources).

Job Responsibilities:

Solution Analysis and Design

Leads in defining domain technical roadmaps with architecture and leadership. Takes ownership of functional scope analysis and detailed solution design of the processes/systems for each project assigned.

Partners across domain IT teams for alignment and impact analysis. Proactively reviews domain for risk and mitigations before they become critical. Continually keeps partners, management and project managers informed of team activities and work-plan status.

Project Leadership

Identifies and communicates project risks and project status to team leads, project managers, and leadership.

Identifies improvements to project efficiency, speed and quality within domain and makes recommendations to team leaders.

Facilitates sessions to solicit and document requirements (e.g. creation of user stories).

Technical Writing & Communications

Translates business requests (Customer Journey's, EPIC's, or Business User Stories) into technical user stories, system diagrams, and low-level design documents.

Assists in the development of design specifications and deliverables that support system functions and enhancements.

Solution Planning

Leads analysis and translation of business, information, and technical requirements to achieve IT solutions that meet business needs within domain for projects with moderate complexity.

Collaborates with business and IT partner teams to develop business capability and technology roadmaps, provides education on potential process and system solution options, and drives business/IT investigation of emerging strategic capabilities.

Leadership:

Serves as mentor to assist less experienced peers. Leads contractors and manages their day-to-day activities.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience. (Required)

Work Experience:

4+ years of experience in Workday configuration. [Required]

6+ years of relevant IT experience in agile software development environment. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Deep understanding of the Workday platform, its modules, how organizations use it and best practices for implementation. (Required)

Deep understanding product features in Workday HCM and Talent/ Recruiting/Security/ Reporting /Payroll. (Required)

Technical Writing Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including writing concisely and clearly for different audiences. (Required)

Agile Methodologies Proven success in directing matrixed resources and delivering software, with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools, across multiple teams. (Required)

DevOps Extensive knowledge of DevOps (CI / CT / CD) in Agile environment. (Required)

Understanding of Workday configuration, solution engineering, or technical architecture in large scale company.

Workday integration knowledge and experience with integration patterns(EIB, Studio), API's, etc.

Understanding of HR business processes and the ability to align product strategy with business goals.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive decision-making and prioritize features.

Ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams, including engineers, designers, support, and teams.

Understanding of software development processes, cloud-based technologies, and integrations.

Certifications:

Workday Pro certification - HCM Core, Performance and Talent, Recruiting, Reporting, Security, Payroll (Preferred)
