Job Description

The Master Planner supports operations team by implementing and sustaining strategic planning processes and tools to meet our customer commitments and execute to our financial forecasts. This position is responsible for the day to day management of material technicians. Key goals for the Master Planner are safety, on time delivery, forecast accuracy, inventory management, and productivity.

This candidate must exercise a continuous improvement mindset around plant level planning activities and inventory control. S/he must be able to establish and sustain best practices in materials processes and presentation. S/he must be technically proficient to "troubleshoot" issues relating to Excel tools and Oracle. A strong commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and inventory is required. S/he must be able to influence and lead others in the organization without direct authority and communicate effectively at all levels of the business. Candidate is expected to thrive in a high-pressure, fast paced, agile environment. Candidate should be results oriented and driven by the success of the team over oneself.

This position will be joining the Kollmorgen team in Radford, VA. Kollmorgen is part of Regal Rexnord (RRX).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in executing action plans and problem-solving activities to support team in meeting or exceeding performance for on time delivery targets and inventory management goals
  • Owns plant level supply and demand forecasting and drives the appropriate action. This is including but not limited to leading Production Sales & Inventory (PSI) process, being the Strategic Inventory Request (SIR) process owner and assisting in backlog management.
  • Partners with global supply chain leaders to provide site level supply forecasts to key suppliers.
  • Utilizes best practices and leads continuous improvement in scheduling, planning, and inventory control to ensure proper flow of materials throughout the value streams and drive year over year inventory turns improvement
  • Manages performance of material technicians and material handlers, including standard work, training and development, promotion, and disciplinary procedures

Education and Experience

  • 5 Years Manufacturing Experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related is preferred.
  • Prior experience with planning and scheduling within ERP systemsrequired.
  • Expert Excel user isrequired.
  • Understanding of inventory control methods isrequired.
