Job Description

The role of a Sales Support Specialist is a very important contributor to all levels of Company sales effectiveness as well as Client and Customer satisfaction. Inside Sales duties and responsibilities are aligned with company plans, policies, objectives and customer needs.

Role + Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Natural Gas, Natural Gas processing, LNG, Syngas, Refining, Petrochemical industry for global markets or specific world areas.
  • Sales support during negotiation phase prior to Purchase Order placement by sales channels.
  • Manage "clean" Purchase Order receipt and the Order Acknowledgement and Order Acceptance process with sales channels.
  • Provide sales channels, customers, and sales and operations functions with professional and responsive inside sales support in relation to deviation requests and Purchase Orders. Typically, this will include change order, order status and related shipping and export compliance documentation, etc.
  • Provide product and application support to sales channels and customers.
  • Provide sales channels with a reliable "point of contact" during hours of operation for the Inside Sales function. This includes customer phone support from within Inside Sales.
  • Assist sales management and sales channels during the complete sales process with the aim of closing purchase orders as effective and efficient as possible.
  • Meet Inside Sales and Purchase Order information logging and filing requirements as defined by direct manager.

Qualification + Profile

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to deal with customer professionally and with customer service-oriented approach
  • SAP experience
  • Team player with strong organizational, communication and people skills, who is results oriented, with the ability to work through conflicts and persuasively influence outcomes.
  • Tenacious in meeting deadlines, well organized, adept at managing peak workloads.
  • Uncompromising personal integrity, as well as a high-level of respect for all individuals.
  • Able to understand other company functions and to effectively work cross-functionally and gain consensus when needed.
  • Must be committed to providing timely sales support to sales channels, customers, and end user and providing them with access to Inside Sales through email and phone communication during Inside Sales hours of operation Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Minimum AA in Business Administration, Process Control Instrumentation Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Physical Science. A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of formal education accepted, subject to review and approval by hiring manager.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with process control instrumentation and preferably proven experience with online analytical instrumentation for process plants and natural gas industry.
  • Must be able to travel 3 weeks per year, both domestically and internationally, for product training and sales channel and customer interaction.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 depending on skills and experience.
